a true former fangirl, Shelby is now a PhD student at the University of Southern Mississippi. In the words of her mother, "it's a good thing all that money spent on books paid off."

In addition to her academic research, Shelby considers herself a "2010s media connoisseur." In other words, she was a complete nerd in middle school who spent more time on Tumblr or Ao3 than she cares to admit.
